Make sure your new puppy starts off on the right paw with Puppy Pre-School!

Our affordable and fun Puppy Pre-School classes are the beginning of an exciting relationship with your puppy. They are great for the social development of your pup and lay down a good foundation for training; both for your puppy and yourself. They also cover all you need to know about caring for your new family member.

VetSouth run Puppy Pre-School at our Invercargill, Winton and Gore clinics, subject to demand. Courses run for 4 weeks, with a 1-hour class each week. Our vets or vet nurses, who run these courses, use positive reinforcement methods to allow you and your pet the best start for your relationship. 

Our Puppy Pre-School courses aim to provide:

• Socialisation with other puppies and different people.

• Learning basic commands and training tips. Discover what motivates your puppy, is it food, toys, etc?

• Guidance for how to address unwanted behaviours. Find out ways to modify unacceptable behaviours and redirect them to an appropriate behaviour.

• Advice around vaccinations, worm and flea treatments, nutrition, etc.
