Why do you enjoy equine tech-ing/ what’s your favourite part of the job?
I enjoy all aspects of equine medicine but have a special interest in equine reproduction and intensive care cases. Working with a team that shares the same passion for equine medicine and ensuring that patients receive the best care possible is something I thoroughly enjoy about working at VetSouth - Equine.
Where did you study?
I studied at Telford - A Division of Lincoln University in 2017 and gained a Diploma for Rural Veterinary Technicians. Since 2018, I have been working with both large animals (Dairy, Sheep etc at VetSouth - Gore) and equine at VetSouth - Equine. But in 2021 transferred to VetSouth - Equine to solely work with horses. I then went on to complete my certificate as an AAEVT Certified Equine Veterinary Technician in 2022 by correspondence, and am currently working towards my Equine Massage Certification.
Can you speak any other languages?
I can speak Japanese - 私は日本語が話せます。Which I studied for many years, competed in speech competitions and won awards!
